Two brothers (Joe and Nate Thurber) and life long friend Brandon Hull have been jamming together since they first picked up their instruments in the mid- nineties. They parted ways for 5 years in 1998 and each had taken part in several other musical projects. In the summer of 2003, they had a jam session in the Thurber basement where they started years earlier, and The Big Distraction was born. Nice. Simple.
