The 1 Records Started Out In 2001 As A Writing Label & Was Known As The X Records...The Group Split Until 2003 & The Name Was Changed In 2005 To The One Records, The Group Was Formed Later That Year With Original Members Being The Current Owners(Justin 'Lil Jay' White, Matt 'MC' Cole, 'Tesia Mae' White) & Picked Up Local Talent As Time Went On(Spshl K, Glow(Tesia Mae/Felicia) Shordy, Lil I, Trey, Shay) In Early 2007 The Number 1 In The 1 Records Was Adapted Into The Name To Symbolize Being At The Top Of The Music World. In The Fall Of '08, Shordy Resigned Her Position In The 1 Records Organization & Officially Retired From Music. Shortly After, The 1 Records Picked Up The Talented Artist 'That Girl' Hailing From St. Louis, Missouri.
