Territorial Chant began as it were in 1981 at Milford High School under the name "Nexus". After 6 years and a few more name changes, Territorial Chant finally became the permanent name of the band. There have been quite a few solo outings and projects along the way but it always seems to come back to the core of Schellenberg-Compeau-Mastick as the main creative engine behind Territorial Chant. Drawing from influences through the years including: Kansas,Yes,Emerson/Lake'and Palmer,Jethro Tull,Gentle Giant,King Crimson and Genesis, Dream Theater, we have managed to keep a unique sound with subtle nods in the direction of our favorite Artists.

Very occasionally, more time and energy are spent on writing and recording.

Tascam DA88s, Tascam DA38, and Samplitude 7 pro and Event TR8XL monitors, Studio Projects c1 Mic, Kubicki-Ibanez and Yamaha basses, Ernie Ball and Ibanez electric guitars, Marshall rack amp rig, Digital Fish Phone plug-ins (Thanks Sascha!) FireWire Strings- the hottest strings on the planet!

I just uploaded my new song WANT ME TO BE its just a clipping but I would love to hear what you think of it :) I am trying a new direction musicially and I really want to know what people think of it right now at the stage its in.
