Sussurus is a four piece heavy metal band based in St Albans, although the members are split fifty fifty between St A and nearby town, Welwyn Garden City.
We formed from 'the ashes', phoenix stylee, of St Albans band Roach (later Donkey Punch) and Sheffield death metal outfit Asmodie.
We've only been together a couple of months, so although we already have four songs recorded we're yet to play live. That'll change soon enough - look out for us at The Horn Reborn in St Albans this Christmas.
Our main musical influences are probably Pantera, Dream Theater, Mudvayne and some serious death metal groups. Our guitarist, Si, loves his Satriani, Dimebag Darrell and Ingwie Malmstein (if that's how it's spelt), Rix, our drummer, wants to be Mike Portnoy when/if he grows up but has a fantastic style all of his own and our vocalist, Pete has been heavily influenced both by Corey Taylor and Chad Gray. Craig was originaly a guitarist but picked up the bass for this band - but sites Ryan Martini, Glen Diani, Justin Chancellor and John Myung as major bass influences.
Si (guitars): Jackson Custom soloist with Roland VG-88 processor/Dimebucker + Randall head
Rix (drums): Roland V-Drum Kit
Craig (bass): Ibanez GSR205 (Roland V-Bass System on its way)
