Surrounding Areas started as MC Loki came to Keene State College, as an aspiring rapper (who had only done some weak ass shit) who through various freestyle circles had garnered respect from two other fellow underground prospects producer/rapper Swell (aka a.non/Pathic) and DJ/MC SHOM (aka Crazy-Legs. as time passed, and skillz developed so did the desires to make some real music. Swell resumed producing, which he had stopped for some time, and SHOM, sharpend his DJing abilities, one main catylist for the group was a beef with a god-awful indie/wanksta wannabe thug, matic and his opencase records crew. Tracks started comeing together, and new gear started getting purchased, but school and work and heavy drinking prevented any real progress, and that is the point we are at now, with little time, we still try to get some stuff down, but mainly stick to sreving fools that need it, and building with other mc's and hip-hop heads acrosss the city creating a crew that trancends the three originators.Have you performed in front of an audience?yes and no, we frequntly rock parties with open mics and steal shows away from other mc's, jam with bands that feel us, but we have not really become comfterble with our music to do any shows per say, in time we have several vensues that want us to do shows but we haven't yet gotten our ish together
