Surrealist

Various styles of Electronica. Dominant style is probably drum-n-bass or Industrial, but inspiration is also taken from House, Techno, Gabber, and Metal.

Drum n Bass

I like to make music, and I seem more able to make Electronica than anything else... I'm not sure what it is, maybe it's that there's more creative freedom in the genre than in Metal and Rock (the other genres of music I like to listen to). Either way, I've made a lot more Electronic music than anything else, and here's some of what I've made. I like to experiment in different genres, so there's a lot of different stuff here. I like Drum n Bass and Industrial a lot, as well as House. I also like the ideas of the Gabber and Techno genres.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not electronic music like what I have here, though I do play bass in the band at my church, as well as in a garage band kind of thing I have going on with some friends.
Your musical influences
Very diverse. Some the influences from the rock and metal world that affect my overall musical style include Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Primus, and Dream Theater. Influences from the Electronica world include Pig and Dan, Daft Punk, and Hive. I also draw on other random artists, such as Michael Jackson. Probably a lot of my musical style comes from the fact that I am a bassist first and a producer second, and that my interest in bass-playing gets me into a wide variety of music.
What equipment do you use?
FruityLoops, which I actually recommend you pirate, since there's a lot of false advertising and a lot of tricks involved in the transition between the demo version and the full version. I also use various third-party plugins, though I haven't found any good enough (for free) to rely on heavily yet.
