Band/artist history
Supathrive was formed in the year 2000 when three musicians from the west coast, east coast, and midwest met in the blazing summer heat at a small practice room in Phoenix, Arizona. They have done nothing but thrive ever since. The band's music has been featured on major Phoenix radio stations and heard in several countries around the world. Supathrive has been playing shows throughout Arizona and California. A rock band, with tendencies toward ska, reggae, and punk; Supathrive has been most influenced by bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Green Day, Rage Against the Machine, Rush, and The Police. With their diverse backgrounds in music, the members of Supathrive have developed a fresh style all their own. Raised in California, Scott Alderette is often seen writing in a small notepad he keeps with him at all times. The words written there, combined with the ideas expressed by his guitar form the premise for Supathrive's music. Matt Cherrill, originally from Philadelphia, has been playing the drums with working bands since he was fifteen. Over the years, he has developed a powerful yet intricate style which fuels the band's music with an intense energy. Jameson MacArthur started playing bass at the age of twelve in his home-state of Wisconsin. Through his experience with numerous projects, he has created an innovative playing style, reinforcing Supathrive's music with rhythmic power. These three have collaborated to create a uniquely powerful form of rock music, tapping into the mainstream style while keeping true to each members individuality and vision for each song. This has put Supathrive on the cutting edge of todays rock music, bringing the audience a passion that can only be called Supathrive.
