Sunday Morning Overdrive emerged in summer 2006 as a project in which guitarists Bloody Fetus-Impaler and JFC (Jesus Fucking Christ) have attempted to merge the blues-rock sound of such bands as Cream and the Allman Brothers Band with the brutal, violent sentiments of such Scandinavian black metal bands as Mayhem and Emperor.
Bloody Fetus-Impaler has played guitar for over ten years and plays a variety of styles, including bluegrass, alternative, folk, psychedelic, and blues.
Jesus Fucking Christ has played for three years but improved at such a rate that he is now a teacher at a local shop and regularly plays recording sessions. He is highly skilled in classical guitar and also delves into jazz and blues.
Allman Brothers Band, Cream, Darkthrone, Emperor, Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix Experience, John Mayall, Led Zeppelin, Mayhem, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc.
Jesus Fucking Christ plays a Gibson SG with underwound '57 classic pickups through a custom Top Hat amp and a Vox AC15.
Bloody Fetus-Impaler plays a Fender Strat with Texas Specials and a hot rail through a Fender Blues Deluxe and occasionally a Crate FXT65.
Our tone owns yours.
Blues guitarists throughout the ages have sold their souls to the Dark Lord in exchange for the ability to play their instruments virtuousically. We feel that devotion to Lucifer should be pledged without expectation of reward before we reach the afterworld, in which He and his brothers Thor and Odin of the Viking tradition, shall present His true followers with payment of wealth, power, and virgin souls beyond the limits of the imagination. Hail Satan! Hail Thor! Hail Odin!
