A Sugarphyx special event is anything but ordinary. It is an elegant, yet high-energy party, including a Master of Ceremonies (if requested), DJ music during breaks, and LIVE music spanning from the 1970s to the present featuring a 4-piece horn section, a 4-piece rhythm section and a 4-piece vocal section featuring Alison Wilson and Doug Comrie on lead vocals.

Ever since they met, Alison Wilson and Doug Comrie have had a goal to gather the most talented musicians around them and build a corporate events planner’s dream a dynamic show band that can not only deliver a quality performance with fantastic music, but also infects an audience with energy and fun. The ultimate corporate events bandthat was the vision, today it’s a reality.

With decades of experience between them, Doug and Alison have maintained that in order to give the best performance possible, you need a few key ingredients: you must be backed by the finest professional musicians around who love their craft to the point that they will dedicate themselves to perfecting it, and deliver it expertly; you must choose music that keeps a dance floor packed all night, and most importantly,...you must always have fun doing it if you don’t, your audience surely won’t!

A Sugarphyx special event is anything but ordinary! All tracks were recorded live off the floor at Fat Dog Productions in Ottawa, Canada. This way, what our clients will hear is a true representation of our live sound without a lot "studio magic" -- what you hear is what you can expect at your event.
