"I like noise because it makes you look at music in a completely different way. Theories like melody and rhythmn are thrown out the window and you begin to see a song not just as verse chorus verse but as an intriquet collection of sounds, an auditory collage. With this frame of mind you can appreciate any kind of music. I try to illustrate this in what I do. I try to work outside of the notion that guitar (or even vocal melody) drives a song, which is difficult being a guitarist, but its a lot of fun. Its incredible to sit back listening to a tack I created and say "wow there is no guitar there" the meat and potatoes of the song might be my voice distorted and slowed down, or sound of a piece of paper being crinkle, reversed then slowed. I use a lot of different sounds in this." n.d. dentico+
Band/artist history
The band was spawned from the apartment of n.d. dentico in late summer 2004 as a departure from the varied world of alternative guitar rock, and means to alleviate boredom. It quickly grew in a fasination after r. moore, fellow band from Sado One and Apache Smile, lost interest in it. n.d. dentico took it under his "mouse pad" and donned it subversive intentions
Have you performed in front of an audience?
no. I did all of this stuff on my computer and would have no idea how to do this sh@* live. Though I may do a spoken word open mic night kind of thing
Your musical influences
the Melvins, Lustmord, Fantomas, Trent Reznor, Tool, Melt Banana, Mike Patton, Eric Sanko, Kevin Sharp.
What equipment do you use?
my gateway computer, sound recorder, a sh&@y mike and what ever junk I can find around the apartment to make noise.
