Subliminal Thought is a male and female music collaboration that was formed in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area in the winter of 2002. Their are a fusion of soulful melodic sound with articulated lyrics.
The founders and members of the group are Ja-Mel Wylie (Mr. City) and Katrina Blunt (Kenilworth Katrina). Ja-Mel and Kenilworth have performed at large and small venues here in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas such as the Baltimore Budweiser Super-Fest, Department of Transportations Summer Concert Series, local clubs, and cabaret events. They have support of their hometown radio stations, fans and are regular guest on a host of Internet radio shows in Washington DC and Detroit. Subliminal thought was selected out of three hundred plus applicants to perform at the World Famous Apollo Theater in New York City. As a bonus, both artists are songwriters.
Subliminal Thought manages to incorporate a variety of flavours into their music. They have the ability to vocalize lyrics with an extremely soulful voice accompanied by thought provoking lyrics over any genre of music.
