The Street Spittas are definetly not new to the scene! Hommicide, Miz MAF, and Reckless have been tearing up the underground from 2001 to 2004. Doing everything from ripping small shows, to Mixtapes, to DVD's, to even street corners and wherever it was going down at! Supported by the streets (of Course) and a couple of Radio Personalities, the buzz for the Street Spittas started to grow. The Street Spittas were on the process to recording tracks for several well known Mixtape DJ's and finishing up their first group album. But before any of that could be accomplished, the streets caught up with the Street Spittas! 2 out of 3 (Homm, Miz) of the groups' members got locked up for out of town drug charges. Which led Reckless to put rap aside and go double-time on the streets. From 2004 to 2006 the Street Spittas were on a rap hiatus. Reckless did his job on the outside and held Homm and Miz down and in return they were writing diligently and patiently waiting to return to the streets. Thru 3rd party letters Homm and Miz were sharing ideas, hooks, songs, and verses to keep the fire hot! That day in 06' finally came for Miz to hit the streets and thats exactly what he did! From recording songs for the album, mixtapes, and making appearances on Hood DVD's the hiatus is finally over for the streets! Reckless and Miz MAF have been working not 24/7 but 48/14 (Double-Time!!), to put the streets back on their shoulders and hold down their fellow Spitta, Hommicide, until his return. So keep your eyes and ears open for the Mixtape 'Come Get Your Sample', and a list of others to follow. Street Spittas is the Life!-- were we coined the phrase "We Talk It! We Live It! We Spit It!" Holla at ya next time. Until then "KEEP IT STREET!"
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes! On any street corner, open stage, or arena it goes down live, raw and uncut!
Your musical influences
Our musical influences are oursleves. The music is based upon our artists' life and experiences. On the business side of things a major influence would have to be Russell Simmons, Sean Combs, L.A. Reid, and Berry Gordy. These are all Black men of power who did their thing by themselves from the muscle to the spa!
Anything else?
Yeah their is something else, glad you asked. Free Hommicide! Free Hommicide! Free Hommicide! Free Hommicide! Free Hommicide! Free Hommicide!
