Band/artist history
It all started off when three young men met up in college at Tyler Junior College in 2004. Vague was from Dallas...Sincere was from Hot Springs, Ark...and Kadillac was from Texarkana, TX. Once they met in college they all found out how in touch they were with eachother, not only in the music area but also in what their dreams and goals were. Kadillac and Vague were at TJC off of full football scholarships and Sincere was there for the choir. Having the love for music like he did, Vague moved all of his music equioment with him to Tyler to be able to record and continue to find talent while out of town in college. As the word spread that Vague had a recording setup in the dorm and was producing..he started getting many requests to dj parties, produce for local talent and students, ect... Vague was very careful on who he chose he would work with because he was very serious about his music. After studying personalities, work ethics, spiritual strength, and talent of many individuals he came to the final decision that he would work with Sincere, Kadillac, and Pat Gamble ( A producer from Arkansa). They immediately started recording music in the dorm starting with the R&B song "Are You Ready?" Written and performed by Sincere Feat. Vague, and produced by Vague and Pat Gamble. The song automatically produced a buzz of the group in Tyler. After recording the song and a few others, Vague obtained a Remote Engineer job at Tyler's radio station (The Blaze). The station immediately wanted to air the track but Vague wanted the track to be up to par before he released it. After a while Vague had to move his equipment from his football dorm into Sincere's apartment because it was causing to much distraction and traffic. They continued to grow closer and wirte and record songs. Kadillac and Vague were starting to get tired of being broke in Tyler because the so-called "Full Scholarship" wasnt anymore. After a month or so the three, Kadillac, Vague, and Sincere started to plan a move to some place they could concentrate on what was really in their heart. After researching places to move to that had Audio Engineering and Producing schools, including Atlanta, California, New York, and Florida... They decided to make a move to Dallas where Sincere and Vague would attend Dallas Sound Lab..where Destiny's Child recorded their first platinum record and many others like UGK, Erikah Badu, andKirk Franklin had recorded albums. The reason they chose Dallas was because it was closer to home and Dallas was a major city in Texas...larger than Houston that had the potential to be a respected Hip Hop idol in the national music industry, yet had a independant rose to the occasion to put Dallas/Ft. Worth on the map nationally. So they set out with the goal of setting up the label Street Image Entertainment in Dallas... Street Image meaning the label would relate to and represent every street and block possible and not just limited to the hood...The label would be diversified as far as styles of music and personalities to relate to every individual on every block and every street. Vague moved back to Dallas before Kadillac and Sincere did because they went to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a few weeks to obtain more money to support our new move as Vague was in Dallas trying to setup jobs to support us. The devil instantly got on SI's cases, knowing we were spiritual and had a good plan to put Dallas on the map in the Hip Hop industry and help as many unfortunate without the resources to come out of the struggle as they could along the way. Sincere and Kadillac ended up getting stuck in Hot Springs when it was important that they be to Dallas the next day to take care of business. With their mind on the main goal they would let nothing stop them. They said a prayer and started their walk to Dallas. They walked about 55 miles alongside the highway in the cold rain avoiding traffic and "crazy people". Vague worried stayed in prayer and asked God to send them a angel. Sure enough a truck driver pulled over to drive them the rest of the way to Dallas. He was surely sent by God. They made it to Dallas safe thanks to their dedication and Gods help and angels. Once in Dallas they met many obstacles not haveing a place to live close to the school. Staying in many different hotels with limited money to support themselves they stayed in prayer and somehow God came to the rescue each day in the struggle. They then got an apartment after many leasing agents denied them because they were only 18, 19, 19 years old. They moved into the apartment in walking distance of Dallas Sound Lab and set up their home studio and started on getting the legal logistics of the label taken care of. They then met Miss Nina who joined Street Image to sing and write RnB. They then picked up XO from Hot Springs who would use his smooth communication skills and go and go get it attitude to run the A&R department and Business Connections for SI. And here we are today only 4 months later still advancing...Street Image...We will Prove Elite! The label now consists of: TJ Hooker (Young Vague): CEO / Founder / Rapper K. Watson (Kadillac): CEO / Founder / Rapper Stacii Floyd (Sincere): CEO / Founder / Singer Terrence Cross(XO): A&R and Public Relations Donita Davis (Miss Nina): Singer Paul (Ill3k Productions: Producer Rick: Audio Engineer
