Effing Canadian (Coarse Language) Effing Canadian (Coarse Language)
A Spoken Word piece. Based on a poem by The Scarborough Dude (dicksnjanes.blogspot.com) I thought it really said volumes about people who are so worried about "The Canadian Identity" that they never try to figure out who their OWN identity.
Roar Of the Diesel Roar Of the Diesel
I was born, I did some stuff. I found a guitar and started to learn to play.
I was lucky enough to find people along the way to help me.
I've been writing/recording since I was 14 years old. Hrm, you think I'd be better.....Have you performed in front of an audience?I'd like to play live more often, and to that end I'm looking at "gettin' the band back together" so to speak, just to play locally.
Your musical influences
Probably anything I've heard is in the mish mash somehow, but I like to think that I get the odd influence from Warren Zevon, John Prine, Fred Eaglesmith, John Hiatt - basically, singer/songwriters.
Also some guitar players like Rory Gallagher and/or Roy Buchanan. What equipment do you use?
Gtrs - Modded Telecaster, Strat, Mansfield and an Aspen.
Keyboards - Casio Concertmate 650 and an M-Audio Axiom Midi Controller.
Mac Mini w/Garageband for recording.
Cowbell.Anything else?
Yes.
