Classical pianist Stephen Kopp, a 2010 graduate of Mannes College of music with a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance, an Award Winner in Classical Piano received National Recognition as a talented teen artist among top 5% of Artistic talent nationwide according to National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, ARTS Awards program 2004. Stephen is also a 2nd prize winner of the 6th biennial Pinault International Piano Competition and received an Honorable Mention Award in the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition 2005. With only a few years of formal studies, Stephen began performing at age 14 and had his New York City debut at Steinway Hall on January 16 2001 at age 15. Stephen was enrolled as a Masters of Music Graduate Student at Mannes College of Music and a former student of Colombian Pianist Blanca Uribe and Thomas Sauer. Among his other performances included the Saugerties Pro Musica series, Kingston's Artist in residence program at Holy Cross Church, Uptown's Kingston Fine Arts Music Series at the Old Dutch Church, Cami Hall NYC, Mannes Beethoven festival NYC, and he has been cited by the press as a "Keyboard Player of Incendiary Genius" following his first performance at the Kleinert/James Art Center in Woodstock at age 14. He has also offered benefit concerts to student and adult audiences.
