Rapper Steel Frame was born in Wilson, North Carolina. He was the last of three children. Destine to escape the drug-infested and high gun violence from the deep south, their mother, Lula Bea Ruffin, decided to relocate with her children to Upstate, NY. Although she was on a mission to create a better future for her family, Lula once again faced the mirroring reality of the streets. Her middle son, Tiz, became infatuated with the gang-life. On the opposing side, her older son, Antonio, utilized his talents and landed a record deal, making music alongside American singer Akon when he moved to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 18. When Rapper Steel Frame watched his brother, Antonio, perform on the television show Soul Train, this inspired and enlightened him to discover his passion for music. Moving forward, Steel Frame won his first talent show at the local Boys and Girls Club at the young age of 13 where he performed his first rhyme. By age 17, Steel Frame and his friends formed a group A.G.A.M.E (Achieve Greatness and Maintain Excellence). They released multiple mixtapes and music videos before he became an independent artist. Continuing his dream and vision, he has been able to create more content even as a solo artist.
