Other studios will likely charge you PER HOUR. And many of them are well worth the money. But when rate can run from $50 to well over $100 an hour, the price can add up fast. Especially if songs take more time than planned. We have a recording studio that’s real simple. Powerful. But simple. That’s why our rates are so low and we charge PER SONG.

Spare Bedroom Studio is perfect for the independent artist because there’s no time constraint. We believe that nothing is finished until it’s perfect. And we know that sometimes that can take hours. Maybe longer. We want you to get perfect results.

The studio is small and personal. The booth is separate from the control room and isolated and sound dampened to eliminate reverb. We use a Marshal MXL 990 condenser mic. The equipment is simplea PC and some powerful studio software. All the fancy equipment that’s in the big studios is packed into the software. Compressors and effects, equalizers and stereo processors all in a powerhouse program that delivers the professional quality you need. The engineer will mix down your tracks but we still recommend mastering the final project. Mastering perfects the mixes and enhances the sound of your tracks. A must for albums and highly recommended for demos. We recommend finding an outside source for mastering so it’s handled by technicians that are trained for it and have all the proper equipment. We can help you find you the right people to work with.
