My name is Sheena Abrena and I play the guitar/sing/write. I write all my songs as they come to me, usually while playing whatever whenever.
Band/artist history
I don't really have a history [band-wise]. I just go with the flow.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play whenever the opportunity comes up. Me and one of my friends Amber paired up once to perform at a local Battle of the Bands - her with vocals and me with guitar.
Your musical influences
The first time I ever was intrigued by a guitar was when I was about 2. I was out of the country for a visit to the Philippines and I remember some dude playing an acoustic.
The first time I ever wanted to actually play was the airing of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's "Tabula Rasa" which featured Michelle Branch's song "Goodbye to you". The song enraptured me and got me started on the way to awesomeness. =)
What equipment do you use?
Just my electric guitar and amp + my voice. I try to go for an acoustic sound and I'm looking to get a nice solid acoustic-electric. Oh, and I've got an old classical guitar.
For recording, I use Audacity and a webcam mic. Why? Because I'm poor. Sue me for the 50 cents I have.
I will get a proper mic sometime in the next couple months, though.
Anything else?
I'm cool.

Sheena -
The recordings getting better. I think you have some good themes going and some good lyrical ideas, but are trying to get too much out of single themes and A-A-A structures. To me your songs are crying for some bridge and chorus changes to carry them forward.
I added you to my station too.....

Sunken Reverie is a nice song, love the lyrics, just dail those vocals in a wee bit more but you already know that. I have a new one at the top of my page you might be interested in at the top of my music page if you have a moment to check it out. Take care
