Band/artist history
Well Joel and Shane used to jam as kids I guess. Shane played guitar back then. They sorta fooled around and eventually I came along and we convinced Shane to learn bass (an easy switch) - so then Mike wanted to be a dj and another friend of ours named Brent was a lead vocalist for a while. We said we were a band for a good year or so, with no practices or shows or ...well, anything really, but one day we were told we had a show, 3 days later, but Mike was in Brazil at the time. We did the show... just a 3 song set of covers... to look back on it is really funny, we still do sandbox praise now, cause it's so much fun. That brought us to early 2002. We've worked hard and rocked out in different places, and our associate Brent had to leave to pursue other things. Now Mike is our lead vocalist and time goes on.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well we really like to kick it with our hometown crew - we have a few really hardcore fans that have hit way upward of 60-70% of our shows, which is awesome. As for when... we pretty much play live as much as our schedules allow. With school and work it gets pretty tough sometimes, but this is our love.
Your musical influences
Lucerin Blue, Pillar, Project 86, POD, Beloved, Tunnelrats (all of them), Pax 217, DJ maj, East West, TobyMac, Thousand Foot Krutch Each member in the band listens to their own style so our influences vary.
What equipment do you use?
Mike - the mic Rob - Epi Les Paul standard, Marshall VS8100 stack Shane - Yamaha Bass and Yamaha bass stack Joel - Pearl drums, Sabian cymbals, Iron Cobra pedals
Anything else?
We are all about Jesus... that's all I have to say to that effect. We have a manager named Marty... and he works for Ihorace media (http://www.ihorace.com). He's done a lot for us in ways of support morally and financially and all that great stuff, so thanks to him. We also love our parents dearly, each for their own contributions to our ministry, but to name names, a huge thanks goes to mr Guy and mrs D for opening their home and feeding us and letting us stay at their house reallly often... haha.
