Band/artist history
After gigging in various bands, Jim Stairs (Vocals/Guitar) formed “Squishy Mud” in 1998 with only $7.28, three fingers, and a supernatural urge to play guitar and sing. The band effortlessly worked it's way up to 100 dates in the year 2007. And now, after a 5 year break the band is back! Joined by talented veteran pro's Norm Steffen (Drums), and John Stairs (Bass/Vocals).
The Squishy Mud Band only plays songs that pass our stringent “this is a great song test”, and we truly appreciate every chance to perform together and make new friends.
The band plays mostly in Minnesota. But ocasionally performs in the five state area.
Squishy mud is not your standard “power trio” We easily cover songs originally performed by much larger bands. Squishy loves to keep the crowd going with a wide variety of material selected for maximun good times.

Divided by 13 9/15 and 1981 fender Oxford reverb amps, Fender Telecaster,Gibson Les Paul, Fender Jazz Bass, Ludwig Drums, Electro voice PA gear, Pro lights etc...

Nothing gets us off like playing music!
