im part of the new generation of bedroom artists, manipulating walls of sound via computers, synths, effects pedals, and household appliances. i bypass traditional song structure and concentrate on creating unfamiliar sounds while still supplying an accessible rythm. i want people to enjoy my music so i try not to make it too dificult to get into. so as long as you listen with an open mind, and preferably closed eyes, you should enjoy it. i bid you a pleasurable listen.Band/artist history
i started making simple dance tracks with dance ejay about 4-5 years ago. since then i have upgraded my software and begun making experimental electronica tracks for about 4 years or so. the time kind of blends together when your making music so im not entirely sure how long its been.Have you performed in front of an audience?i dont play live... yet. but i hope to within the next 6 months or so.
Your musical influences
everything influences me in one way or another. if i hear a band i dont like, i'll keep myself from making music like that. if i hear a car with a deep guttural hum ill sample it or try to synthesize with the aid of machines. even my washing machine creates interesting rythms. but as far as artists go, i enjoy: aphex twin, venetian snares, ergo phizmiz, people like us, team doyobi, autechre, ohgr, clouddead, skinny puppy, mr. bungle and anything else with mike patton, nine inch nails, matmos, etc.What equipment do you use?
computer, microkorg, various effects pedals, reel to reel, turntable, 300+ misc records,8 misc mics (several of them i got for a buck at yardsales), modified keyboards and kids toys, guitar and anything i can sample. as far as software goes i use: fl studio, cooledit pro 2, audiomangler, reason (sparingly, i dont like it too much) and plugins.Anything else?
