Speed

- A young UK Hip Hop artist. Speed likes to use all styles from multis to long bars and straight disses to short bars. His music reflects his personality as many songs are influenced by events in his life

Speed was born in the South East of England into a middle class family. Speed was a very active person in music from a young age of 6 when he started to learn how to play the piano. Speed first got into rap in 1999 and from then on he just craves for rap. "I have always liked rap but that was the year I got into rap seriously.'

For the next 7 months Speed started writing songs, 'The very first song I wrote was about a mate of mine in a science lesson one day, it was 30 seconds long.'

Speed explores the boundaries of rap by introducing allot of elements into one. 'I am always learning I don't think I am any where near the end of my journey, I have allot of things to learn but I am always working hard on my style and technique so I can become complete.'

Speed now performs on a regular basis with his biggest performance being at BMG in London after

reaching the final of a Hip Hop Connection competition where he performed in front of Hip Hop Connection, BMG, BMG Street Team and Tim Westwood as well as other media personnel. "Performing at BMG was like a dream it was such a great experience and I am truly grateful for the experience.

Speed is now working hard to become accepted by the UK and international Hip Hop scene

Of course I do, I perform on stages, trains anywhere there is an audience

Damn where do I start. I have influences from American eMCees to UK eMCees. Such people like Eminem influence me to voice my opinion. Such people like Roots Manuva and Freddie Kruga influence me to continue with what i'm doing and something good will happen. So many artists influence me.
