Southern Spitt Record was founded in 2002 by Donrico DRO Nelson and Frederick Gee chi Woodhouse both coming out of the south side of Columbus, GA. Dro who is the business mind for the company started putting together a army of soldiers that could not only stand on there on but would take over the rap game as a group. Gee chi brought his street knowledge and his pictures tic southern flow to the table drawing vivid images with words to give the world a peak into his southern up bringing and life in the dirty south. Also representing Columbus, GA LiL Black was added to the team and brought to the table a first person prospective of the ups and down of a real thug life by putting his listener in the driver seat of real gangsterism. In 2003 the southern based label acquired Trey S.O.S Burrell the voice of VA who brings a very powerful vision of life and the streets though hard core punch lines and graphic tells of the day to day hustle in Virginia and Houston Texas. Dred Scot was introduced to the group in 2003 and was quickly attained completing the circle of Southern Spitt. Dred Skot which consist of Reggie Dred Coby who is a master lyrist/singer song writer and a beat production genius, representing Palmetto Florida to the fullest has brought a undeniable sound not only to the label but to the south, just with local exposure only he is being compared to some of the games heaviest hitters like Dre, Timberland and the Neptunes, he is most defiantly a forced to be reckoned with. Octavis SB Berry completes the group of Dred Skot with his gangster swagger that can not be denied by any MC holding a mic. Blown in via the winds of Chicago and landing in the cap city of Austin, Texas SB has quickly made a name for his self as a problem and the 6th sixth bully.Have you performed in front of an audience?You can catch us dam near in any club in TX,GA,MS,Fla,NY,VA and Al at any given time so keep your ear to the ground and you will hear us coming.
