Souls in Rhythm is a 4-piece soul/funk group from Calgary Alberta. Their debut album Can't Fake the Funk was released summer 2006
They are critically acclaimed for their writing and have an incredible show.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The band was formed in 1998 and immediately set itself to writing sincere and powerful songs. As a result, they've won or been finalists of virtually every song or performance contest they've entered:
-Finalists of the National Songwriting Competition
-Winners of the Last Band Standing Performance Competition
-Finalists of the Alberta-wide 'Big Break' Songwriting Competition
-Finalists of the Unsigned Vibe $100,000 Songwriting Competition
-Finalists of the Calgary Urban Talent Search
-Winners of the CBC Showcase Competition.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
SiR has opened for several current CDN hitmakers and have played many high profile shows accross the nation. Memorable shows include opening for Boyz II Men, Swollen Members, Ivana Santilli and Maestro and some of the larger outdoor festivals that make a great Canadian summer.
