Streetwise was born in Queens NY, but moved to Denver, Colorado in 1995. He had a background and passion for music at an early age. Began writing rhymes and poetry at age 9. Recording his first songs in 2002 he decided to take music serious and began writing hundreds of raps. He moved on to production in 2004, studying various music production software and equipment, he quickly built momentum and his talent truly showed. Now, hundreds of beats later his buzz in his city is strong and growing, he has produced tracks for various local artists, as well as himself. Currently he is working on major label, television, and ad placements, as well as building up his production company S.o.S.t.r.e.e.t. Productions.
Streetwise was originally part of The Merchantz. There are five members of The Merchantz, and they inlcude Don Sosa, Streetwise, Spazmatik (aka Poetic Just-Is) Dezert E, and Scorch. To become official, Streetwise and Poetic Just-Is started Merchantz Entertainment LLC May 15th, 2008. As President of Merchantz Entertainment LLC Streetwise oversees the operation of the label. All publishing, marketing, promotion, distribution, booking, and recording go through him. As an artist Streetwise sets himself apart as emcee and lyricist by producing well constructed, insightful, intelligent rhyme schemes. While providing versatile deliveries along with creative word play, Streetwise crafts each song with meaning and purpose. As well as rap, Streetwise also writes r&b, rock and pop songs, and produces professional, industry quality beats across various genres of music.Band/artist history
