Follow the sonic journey...
Over the course of 15 albums, a variety of musical styles have been explored:
from ambient dream tapestries to cold void space
music. Distinctive sonic textures have been achieved through the innovative use of guitar, synthesizer, voice and processing.
Aspects of the varied work have been described as dense, heavyweight and atmospheric. In contrast, several pieces have also been likened to the ambient tints of Brian Eno. An ever expanding catalogue includes the score to an independent Australian film.Band/artist history
Initial recordings were performed on a Tascam analogue portastudio purchased in the eighties, along with an Ibanez 12-string guitar. A cheap casio synthesiser was also brought into service to add some ambient background pads. The first recordings were rather primitive, but pointed the way to future directions.
At the end of 2002, the portastudio was upgraded to a digital machine which greatly increased possible recording time, as well as significantly reducing tape hiss.
Carefully chosen upgrades to audio equipment and tools have enabled a steady path of improvement to become evident in the expanding body of work.
