Hi, thanks for visiting my music.
I'm fascinated by the creative use of sound, and I like to explore the audio-imagery that we all have.
I think that the world of music, and indeed the aural world in general, has moved on with the technology available. It is now second nature to work with with sequencers and digital audio work stations. Many years ago, painterly artists actually made by hand the colours they painted with, but now they buy them. Today, modern composers take commercially available patches and samples, then paint with them, producing their art, in sound and music form. This has opened up a new world, where traditional musicianship can blend with twenty first century creativity. What really matters is the piece of musical art that is the end result.
I like to use a combination of all the elements, happily adding traditional musicianship to technology, even bending and shaping sound whilst looking for a finished statement.
I like to explore musical diversity, and probe the far corners of the whole spectrum of audio imagery. I am also constantly aware that there will always be a piece missing from every work, the listener's own imagination. That is where the chemistry and the alchemy come together. I started in 2006, having never before explored music as a creative art form. previously I have had a great interest in Watercolour painting. I am now discovering an interest in poetry too. An art form that has managed to pass me by, but is a fixture in my weekly life these days, both classical and contempory writing.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm afraid not.
Your musical influences
I have a wide range of influences, from Opera to the music of John Barry, and more out of the box work like that of Tom Waites. Who knows where my next project may take me!What equipment do you use?
I use two midi controllers, a sixty one key, and a forty nine key controler, Reason, Abbleton, Sequel and Magix software and various VST plug-ins.Anything else?
For a while I was a professional boxing trainer.
I've put some film of boxing to music and rate the movement of boxers as an almost balletic dicipline. I find that art is life, and life is art.

This song is very clever and witty . . . it made me laugh . . . I'm a person who tends to 'care' too much and I've been told I need to 'care less' . . . . and today I had to do something really difficult for me that involved 'not caring so much'. So this song is the person summary of my day "Who cares?" Very uplifting . . . but also thought provoking. I wonder what RW would have to say about this? ;)
