The Bio Of Slim G This is the life story and inspirations of Gregory Demons Ford but as for everyone else they know him as “Slim G”. He was born and raised in Fort Pierce, FL 22 years ago. His love for rap began in 1997 when he met his best friend Brian Lamb a.k.a Killah-B in a program called E/P. Killah-B would always rap to him and try to get him to freestyle rap and write 4-6 bar verses with him. Slim G would always just listen and watch but one day about a week later he decided to try it out with Killah-B and he loved the feel of the whole expression of the “rap game”. They joined as a group and called themselves the Ghetto Lunaticz. The group mainly freestyled and tape their songs on tape recorders. They would also sit in their classes and write lyrics just about all day. Finally in 1998 they hooked up with a local label called Venom Records. “Shortly after we started working on our album my Dawg was killed in a drive-by shooting and I had no choice but to move on solo,” says Slim G. He started working on his solo album “The Untold Story”. When it was finished he posted it on the MP3.com web site and it produced big numbers. “I was scammed for my royalties by Venom Records so I split,” he stated. Since then he has been through numerous record labels. Through all this he performed many shows at local clubs to promote his solo album. He also promoted his album on the streets. The artists that inspire him are Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Eightball and MJG. Slim G says, “But of course the two people who inspire me the most in the world are my homie Killah-B and GOD!” He has lived a life full of ups and downs, pain, misery, incarceration, the streets, drugs, and death. “Really if you name it I lived it!” he says. The inspiration of God himself makes him feel that he was chosen to speak for the people in the struggle of the life and background he use to live and know. http://www.suspectzrecords.com
