slangdoll is a 4-piece metal band from London, Ontario Canada. We play hardcore rock/metal and have 12 heavy songs written and recorded. We are currently rehearsing in London at The Embassy Hotel. We are in the process of finding a lead guitarist and preparing to start playing shows.Band/artist history
slangdoll- is a 4-piece metal group, rockin it out from London, Ontario, Canada. Influenced by bands such as: Tool, Pantera, Slipknot, Cradle of Filth, Spineshank, Orgy, Deftones, At The Gates and 30 Seconds to Mars; they create a hard rusty cuting sound with melodic undertones to achieve balance.
Vocalist/Guitarist Norm Weichel got together about 1.5 years ago with Drummer Josh Jenkins. Determined to start their own group they began writing songs by bringing what each had to the table. When the basic songs were created and roughly recorded, they need a bassist to join.
Replying to a poster put up at the college Norm attended, they got a hold of Yamzz a bass player and fellow student of the college. Within a week the group met each other and started to get things in order. In February 2004 they auditioned Matt Grady a lead guitarist and fellow classmate of Norm and Yamzz. They were blown away by Matt's performance and gladly invited him to join.
With the new addition of Matt and the group complete, they continue to rehearse in their room above the Embassy Hotel, and are getting ready to rock out shows as soon as possible.Have you performed in front of an audience?not at the moment, but soon.
