The last word The last word

Chrysalides Chrysalides
The Skeem project was born at the end of the nineties when Serge Barbaro musician and composer told his graphic designer Mark Eaton that he was looking for a lyricist to produce an album.
Mark said that he was willing to take up the challenge.
Several pieces were written in an orientated progressive rock style, and from this collaboration will be born in 2001 the eponymous SKEEM Compact disc.
For the recording of this album, Serge (Guitar, keyboards, and vocals) surrounded himself with EmmaM (drums), (bass) Bertrand Hulin Bertaud, Berny Barbaro (Keyboards and sound mixing), Fabrice Rives (Keyboards), Sabrina Bendjema (guitar and backing vocals), and Cathy Lully Croux (backing vocals). Being members of the band Priam, EmmaM and Bertrand were not totally unknown in the progressive world.
Skeem was finally signed and is now distributed by Muséa.
Thanks to a worldwide distribution although confidential, Skeem received a good reception by the critics. Skeem will be chosen by Muséa to appear on their compilation " A trip in progressive - volume 7 " issued in 2002 with the title " The last word ".
At the beginning of 2000s Serge will participate in numerous local projects as a composer musician or arranger.
Dedicating his time and talent to other creative activities, Mark decided to abandon the project.
And here we are, yet in 2010,new songs were written , including ones featuring lyricist Alex S Garcia, and most of the instruments were recorded.
The second SKEEM record should be out in a few months.
More to come soon

Band/artist history
Musea presentation :
Since the Eighties, Great Britain has largely dominated the Nu-Progressive style. While historical bands like IQ or PENDRAGON keep up delightedly with their career, numerous current bands take charge of perpetuating an implemented tradition. If Dutch and Italian people succeed in meaningly conquering this monopole, France will still waitThe exception was ARRAKEEN, who experienced a kind of success at the beginning of the Nineties. Today SKEEM regains the upper hand. With an excellent singing in English (comparable to Gary CHANDLERs from JADIS), Serge BARBARO takes charge of wonderful keyboards and guitars parts that can evoke Sylvain GOUVERNAIREs, as well as Nick BARRETTs. The band has at its disposal an ambitious rhythm section, seeing that it isPRIAMs ! Do we need to add anything ?
