It's A Ride It's A Ride
Just a good old rocking tune about good times gorwing up in the country
Since You've Been Gone Since You've Been Gone
This is for everyone who thought I couldn't make it without them.
Hello from Six Feet Over, an all original three man band from the North Carolina highlands. As a three piece band we work and play hard without many of the luxuries of larger bands. Although sometimes we show up with as many as five members the core of the band is guitar, bass, and drums.Band/artist history
We've been around forever, not in this band but playing with various others before comming together as Six Feet Over, even made a few changes in the couple of years it has taken to formulate the "what it takes," to be Six Feet Over. Bass player, Tony Tabor, guitarist Dani Pace and drummer Doug Taylor began playing together way back in 1973. Through several bands both together and seperately they have somehow remained friends over the years. These three are the core, heart and soul of Six Feet Over.Have you performed in front of an audience? We don't get out as much as we would like to but occasionally show up in hole in the wall juke joints where we can play all night.
Your musical influences
We've been touched by the music of many artists like Carl Perkins, Eric Clapton, The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Z Z Topp, George Thorogood and a long line of other country and southern rockers. Perhaps our greatest influence has been each other and the other people we have had the pleasure of playing with. We have all listened to many artists but the ones we have known and played with have taught us the most and influenced us in too many ways to mention. What equipment do you use?
We don't use any brands exclusively but we do lean towards Ibanez guitars, Kramer bass, Slingerland drums and Fender amps.Anything else?
You've been warned, as long as we are Six Feet Over, we might be comming to your town.
One last note, "If you like us... tell others, if you don't... tell us."Contact
