I am a solo male artist. i write, compose, arrange,produce and perform all of my songs. My inspirations and influences are borne out of my experiences and my observation of the world around me, as well as the music i listen to. black sugar is my debut album. it is my musical story that i will like to share with you all.i really enjoyed making this album as it was the coming together of a dream i had.

The Story of Sitizen is still evolving, Charismatic and unconventionally talented singer/songwriter, Producer Edward Hamson Ian a.k.a Sitizen. is a pioneering type, Edward started writing materials for a debut Album in 2005. Opting to carved out an original style and sound exclusive to the band. First the songs were sent to competitions across the world and recieved great reviews as well as prizes. So much, that the band was invited to play live at the Finals of the Global battle of the bands 2005 in the Melkweg Amsterdam in search of the best new live band in the world!.Pop theatre Merlyn followed in December. As special guest at the famous Doonroosje hall in Nijmegen, sitizen played a memorable two song sets and headlined the first edition of the Relight music festival 2006 Arnhem (Holland) in april. Between recordings songs Mostly recording at both his Solidtraxx recording Studios in Mallorca (Spain) and Netherlands. The former dancer, says he started life in the music world as a roadie to "anyone who cared to make sound", Sitizen is enormously talented and colourful both on and off stage. His music is brilliant, a delightful blend of Afrobeat, Pop, funk, Reggae, urban soul. he has often been compared to wyclef, Outkast, Seal, and even Jamiroquai! "I am all of em' in one" he jokes but quickly distances himself from any mention of fussion?. Instead he says this is his musical story he wants to share with everyone expressed in delightful and perfect marriage of various styles 2006 will see the band even more busy playing festivals across Europe, shooting a video in the summer and the release of the debut album.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. we love the energy on Stage, the reaction of the crowd is a priceless thrill! Our very first gig was special to us because it was at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. we had only just started the band 3 weeks earlier and only rehearsed twice. everyone was asking for our phone number what a blast!

I compose and pre produce mostly with ableton live and we practice them before going to a Pro studio to record.Anything else?
