Song writing is important to Simon Vallee. His words break through any storm and his voice can bring rain to a dry landscape. His recording career has seen him with great producers and engineers. His most recent single 'Fade Away' was produced by Sean Baillie (Berkeley, Sony) and engineered by Darius Szczepaniak (Sum 41, Big Sugar, Black Crowes) at Electric Machine in Toronto, Canada. "Recording is so important to me. Recording is a musicianÂ’s only chance to make your audience understand what you are trying to say...you only get one shot to make a song a success. The respect that comes from producing with Sean and Darius is always a powerful experience and what motivates me to work harder and write better music." Songs have received airplay on The Edge 102.1FM, college radio abroad, and have also been featured in various short films. Currently Fade Away is spinning on over 200 radio stations in the U.S. and Canada, as well as abroad. He's also performed live on the celebrated talk show 'Daytime'. In October 2000 Simon organized a benefit concert for Covenant House in Toronto, Canada. The event raised a modest sum of money for Toronto's street youth. Simon writes songs for a wide audience.
