I am Shay G and I love to sing/write songs. Get ready for me, because my music is going to blow you away!
Band/artist history
I started music at an early age,and developed as I grew, in creativity too. My passion for music is what drives my fans crazy when they listen to my songs. I also play guitar, and breakdance or freestyle dance. I say it's a gift from God, and I thank Him for giving me this wonderful talent.
I won 3rd place nationally in Australia for songwriting/singing competition.
I was born on October 24th, 1996. I was quite a premature baby, as I was born at 30 weeks I am blind in his left eye, due to something called retinopathy of prematurity; which means that the retina is detached. As I grew older, I started singing for fun, as a hobby. One day when I was in the fifth grade, I had a great idea. I decided to write a song. As everyone knows, no one is perfect on the first try of anything. But as I continued to write songs, my creativity expanded, and so did my singing and guitar work. Before I was into R&B singing and songwriting, I loved doing Acoustic singing/songwriting. Along with all that I discovered I had a talent for harmonizing. So I paired all those together to create a sound that one day the world will hear and love. A few years later, R&B started to get the best of me and he began writing R&B songs and singing them too. I go to Brisbane Waters Secondary College, and I'm in Year 9. I tried out out for something over the net: it's called www.heyhollywoodherei.com I sent my masterpiece to the US of A and they accepted me a few weeks later. Sadly, I didn't get to go, due to the expenses. As I grows older and I continue school, I still dream that one day I will become a famous singer/musician. And one day that dream will become reality.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I played live at Sydney, Australia. It was a very special moment for me in front of that crowd. The energy, and excitement from them made me confident and get up and do what I love doing, on that stage!
