My first gig with Her Alibi was exhilirating! I was so in awe it was tough to point out anything that went wrong!
Mostly, it's just been karaoke, but hopefully in the near future, I'll have the opportunity to nab a gig or two.
I got to sing at the Big Valley Jamboree. It was a lot of fun, lots of exposure.
I also participate in local theatre : acting, singing, dancing, makeup, directing, music directing, and choreography.
Your musical influences
My biggest musical influence is definitely Deborah (Debbie) Gibson. I have been a huge fan of hers since "Only In My Dreams" came out in 1987. Once people hear my voice, and then hers, they've said that the similarities are astounding. She is my ultimate "idol"...and I hope that someday I'll get to meet her and let her know how much of an inspiration she has been to me.
What equipment do you use?
I worked out of Owensound Studios in Edmonton Alberta. I recorded with Cubase and Pro Tools. Mixing was done on Cubase and mastering on Wavelab.
Anything else?
Performing is my biggest goal in life....although of course, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan! I decided to expand my horizons while at the same time attempting to remain on the stage! I do act, and dance as well, and I am a huge musical buff! So I guess my next goal would be to become a Broadway performer, as I love being on stage in front of an audience. I am constantly auditioning for roles in various productions in Leduc, Wetaskiwin, Beaumont, and Edmonton. Ahhh.....the theatre.
I am also a model specializing in glamour, lingerie, and nude photography.
