Band/artist history
Shadow Cast is a unique combination of the insanity of extreme metal, the melodic qualities of power metal, and the complex detail of progressive metal. Few other bands put nearly as much effort into songcrafting and writing as Shadow Cast. With breathtaking guitar licks, brutal drums, maniacal vocals, and its incredible bass, Shadow Cast will dominate.
The band consists of 6 members: Travis Ambrose as the vocalist, Dale Blakeman on rhythm/lead guitar, Scott Cook on rhythm/lead guitar, Sam Darula on rhythm/lead guitar and death vocals, Tony Dickinson on bass guitar, and finally Travis Moberg on drums.
Dale Blakeman and Sam Darula are the newest members to the mayhem of Shadow Cast, having been in the band since December 2006. Scott Cook and Travis Ambrose entered in November 2004 and June 2005 respectively. Original members Tony Dickinson and Travis Moberg founded Shadow Cast mid-Fall 2003.
Other former performing members include current manager Adam Dickinson (Tony's brother and the band's ex-singer) and guitarist Laela Fellini. Laela played rhythm guitar for Shadow Cast from around mid-August 2004 to November of 2004, and James Lee, one of the original members, left the band in February 2007.
Shadow Cast has been playing occasional small shows in the Boulder/Denver area with other local bands, but will start playing more often in the near future. The band is also working on recording a rough demo CD and then will begin recording material in greater depth for a possible upcoming self-produced album.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We have played live in the Boulder/Denver area in Cervantes' and Galleria Xzanthia most notably.
