Shadestream is meant to be the creative outlet for my solo musical meanderings.Band/artist history
The study of History is a waste of Time.....Have you performed in front of an audience?Until very recently I played guitar for a Garage/Alternative/Psychedelic/Folk band called The Steeds. The band wasn't playing out as much as I'd like, and the musical direction was not the path I wished to follow. At 51, lugging heavy equipment around has gotten old...lol...but as long as I can pull my Fender Twin amp out of the trunk of my car without hurting myself, I'm still up for playing out. Again, Shadestream is meant as a studio solo outlet.
Your musical influences
Long time fan of Yes, Pink Floyd and very early Genesis. I have a high appreciation for the energy of the 60's garage bands like Chocolate Watchband, Beau Brummels, Ugly Ducklings, Barry and The Remains, 13th Floor Elevators....the list is endless...What equipment do you use?
Fender twin reverb amp; an assortment of guitars...Gibson, Fenders, and Danelectro's; Yamaha keyboard and drum machine and a Wurlitzer electric Piano (same model Richard Wright used on early Floyd tours)...Anything else?
I now do all my home recording on computer using Cubase.cindylou's station

cool punk rock song. You have an unbelievable groove -for my ears.
Hooker GreenVery cool garage sound.....the vocals remind me of some obscure Lou Reed tunes....love the beatI like your use of the drum system. Song idea is good, too. Has energy. Good. Always a nice listen.Mike,This made a huge huge difference.
Bringing up the vocals and lowering the keys really changed the whole listening experience.I am no longer trying to struggle to hear lyrics and can easily understand them and even get more of the vocal characteristics that actually accent the entire song.I got to ask this, now when you listen,do you think the vocals are up too much now?
Every song i do now I use this trick, but still when I listen I always think they are too high. But Everyone else says they are just right.Great job Mike.
Ask those who have commented to come give another listen and see what kinda responses you have.I think you'll see a big difference.

Nice! Reminiscent of the poppy psychedelia of our youth. A light show would be appropriate.
