Brought together from the ashes of hardcore outfit Clockin' Neemin and a few others, Sequoia got together around late spring of 2003, but have been playing collectively with each other since about 1999. MG (vocals), Seth (bass), and Brent (drums) all played in Clockin' Neemin.. and after their breakup, decided to start something new with MG on vocals (originally on bass), and so they contacted some of MG's friends Jason + Branden (guitarists) due to their amazing abilities... and it's been like this ever since.Have you performed in front of an audience?our live shows have been described as very intense... we've played around alot in Williamsburg, Yorktown (our home), Virginia Beach, + Chesapeake... we're looking to expand this soon.
Your musical influences
We we're influenced by many bands such as Into Another, Iron Maiden, New Found Glory, Suicide Machines, Wallstreet (a greatly admired former local band), Alkaline Trio, The Cure, Outkast, + an extensive list of many artists. Sequoia has been compared to the likes of A Static Lullaby, Rise Against, New Found Glory, AFI, From Autumn to Ashes, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.What equipment do you use?
