Upbeat, up tempo song. Very dance like drums. A nice change from our other songs. 2:36

Rock General

We're a bunch of guys from around Dublin. Brian Dwyer: Guitars/Vocals Joey Cullinan: Bass/Vocals Alex Dunne: Drums Heavily influenced by different genres and heavily bored, a band came about. None of us actually knew each other bar me and Graham, but we never talked. Graham got to Brian through his cousin, they met Alex at alocal gog (Blast), and a class mate of Grahams (also a friend of mine) mentioed hime to me. The rest, as they say, is arse. Eventually, Graham left to follow other pursuits so we remained as a 3 piece.
Band/artist history
Scattered Ashes began forming early in September 2003 when Graham (el guitar virtuoso) met Brian (full of lyrical waxings and riffs) through the cousin of said virtuoso. Jamming ensued every week or so and they quickly became knowledgable of each others styles. In late April at ye olde AIB Blast in the hub, they met a suculent young drummer by the name of Alex. Turns out he happened to be interested in forming some sort of band, so he was given a tryout and he fit the bill. At this point the 3 amigos started jamming in Alexs house which became the permanent practice area due to his kit being there and his dad Frank making us sausages :D All was well for a while but a bassist was still needed. Graham had heard about a behemoth of a bass player through singer type person from RLD, Cormac. A friend of his, Joey, was bandless and looking (G[raham says: We were all just talking when Joey started playing, me and Brian were really shocked cause we were looking for a bassist for ages and then all of a sudden we got a guy to try out and he was fuckin deadly). Graham and Brian both instantly agreed he was in. Since the Bands full completion in April '04 the band have been practicing constantly week in week out. The first gig came around May '04 at a Telethon: People in Need event organised by Alex's friend. Back in those days the band was gigging as "Kontraban." The gig went down extremely well with at least a hundred people watching our heroes. Since then, its just been songwriting and practising and a name change to "Scattered Ashes." A 4 track demo has been recorded during July '04 and is available at gigs and through band members. Update - April 2005 Having played a high profile gig in the Draíocht with RLD, The Daze and Jerome's Law, Graham soon decided it was time to take his leave from the band. He said his goodbyes and nearly all material was scrapped. The bands debut gig as a 3 piece went down well with the new material being well received.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play the local gig things around the Dublin teenage scene, i guess you'd call it. Blast and such. Other random gigs too. Don't be afraid to offer...
