Francoise Karolyn Verville (sax tenor and persussions) founded the band in 2001. She has played all over North America and the Carribeans. Then Catherine Lavoie (sax alto) came along and added a beautiful sound to the formation. Christine Boillat finally joint the band and brought years of experience on the jazz scene.
After playing a lot here and there, their name started to appear in local news paper, then national, then international. We can find them all over the net. Is is at a photoshoot for the third album that Guy Cloutier met with Saxuet for the first time. The group signed a big record deal with NOVEM PRODUCTIONS in 2004. This fourth album has sold over 25 000 copies since.Have you performed in front of an audience?The formation is mainly doing studio work, but they also played in concert halls. They first started playing in bars and restaurants of Quebec City and vicinities, and also for corporate and private events. This is what put them on the map and on their way to fame when they got discovered by Guy Cloutier, the most important major label on the east coast of Canada.
