We are The Sassafras Drifters!
We began as a group on August 3,2006. We have already played 4 shows in the Atlanta area, and soon to be doing gigs in Athens.99X 99.7 has reviewed our songs and will be airing our music on The Homegrown show.
We are going back to The Grass Roots of Classic Rock, yet sound very original.
We have 16 original songs in our reportoire.

Bio The Sassafras Drifters are an ecclectic culmination of differnt genres of Rock influences, comprising that missing element that todays Rock music tends to lack. After resently performing their first performance on August 25th,2006 at Meehans in Alpharetta. Surprisingly enough, there was an overwhelming response of awesome comments from the 100 or more fans who attended.
The four members are comprised of Gino Joubert(keyboards) New Orleans,La., Justin Thomas(Drums)Alpharetta,Ga. B-Rad Smith(bassist)Alpharetta,Ga. Jeff York(lead-guitar,vocals)Alpharetta,Ga. All members of the band have had numerous years of musician experience. The keyboardist is an Ascap composer having performed in Los Angelas at The Annual Taxi Road Ralley. For only having one show under the belt, it's an honor to have been advertised already for the second show on 97.1 The River, and 96.1. Attention has been given and people are catching the Vibe already of The Sassafras' energy.
They have come a long way in a short amount of time. They are comitted to putting on a high energy and most enjoyable event. The band is scheduled to begin recording NOv.5th and 6th with Red-rain Entertainment. Adam Cobble will be the Engineer. As the logo for the band has been completed, and the upcoming recording project so near, anticipation has been overwhelming to start a tour of The Southeast in Spring of 2007. Look out Atlanta, this band is going to move up in the ranks swiftly! There have been numerous comments from influencial people in the Industry who are already taking notice to The Buzz. With the Allman bros. hailing from Macon, Sassafras Drifters look to be the best thing out of Atlanta.
