Experimental Industrial Metal. One man, One mind. Spikey, Black, Hard-Edged... Dark, synthetic but real. For the best description, just listen for yourself. Go, play, Refuse...Band/artist history
This machine began in it's larval stage approximately 10 years ago. It has been very rough to say the least. Years of experimentation and education moulded what has become. Though always shapeshifting and varying and experimenting, SR has come to find what is believed to be a fairly original sound. Hard and heavy yeat atmospheric and ambient. Dark and synthetic yet real.
Previously involved in many projekts, the Refuse is always expanding horizons. Remixing projekts with Californian Lowminder as well as as Floridian Nation of Disorder [formerly DoomzDayKult] have sparked interest with both of those bands. Lowminder sideprojekt Erudyte includes vocals by SR, as well as Nation of Disorder's 'The Gimp,' with others in the works.
Throughout 2006 and 2007 SR destroyed stage after stage of the CT underground scene gaining headlining spots at several shows as well as opening slots for national touring acts such as DOPE and Bella Morte; even being mentioned as 'the most original band in CT' throughout our reign.
Currently I am quietly working on finishing the long awaited LP, hoping to play a few shows throughout next year to remind people that we're not dead... we're the living dead.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not currently, but when the right opportunity arises, so shall the dead...
