Sandi Padilla - Singer/Songwriter
Music has always been the heartbeat of Sandi Padilla.
Her first debut was singing for church at age six and she became a young songwriter at age ten performing in youth groups and church services regularly. “My dream was to have my big break on the Donny & Marie showbut my manager didn't get along with their manager,” Sandi jokes!
She attended Biola University and Sacramento State University where she was an applied voice major. Sandi continued performing and writing and in 1986 an inspirational song called “Sheltering Wings” was picked up by producer Phil Sillas (Natalie Grant, Plus One) and it became the title track for an album project he was working on. Dedicated to developing her performing and songwriting talents she entered and won local & regional competitions and produced her first solo project to showcase her songs in 1987. “Melodic, thoughtful and transparent” are some of the ways people describe Sandi’s songwriting and she continues to find a special report with audiences of all ages.
Whether writing, producing, singing, leading worship, playing bass or guitar Sandi believes there is nothing better than experiencing who Jesus is - CreatorSaviorFriend the heartbeat of her music.
Currently Sandi leads worship at Bayside Covenant Church in Roseville, CA where her husband is the Creative Arts Pastor and leads weekly worship services. She also plays bass for the “No Man’s Band” an all women’s worship band out of Bayside church.
Purposing to be an innovative artist within the emerging worship community Sandi hopes that her songs will inspire a new generation of worshipers.
You'll find that Sandi's musical style ranges from guitar driven alternative/pop/rock to melodic piano & keyboard instrumentals. Her goal is to be a well-known published songwriter and have her songs covered by other artists and bands. For more info please visit:

Sandi’s involvement in the music industry ranges from working for professional recording studios and management to recording artist and songwriter, background vocalist, and worship leader. Known for her range and versatility as a singer she has performed live with Earth Wind and Fire, Patty Cabrera, and most recently Aaron Spiro and Lincoln Brewster. In 1992 she teamed up with husband Steve Padilla and became lead singer for Threshing Floor an alternative/pop band with a positive message. As a songwriting team their first single “Twisted and Broken” debuted to great reviews including an invitation to Nashville for the 1993 GMA Gospel Music Showcase.
In early 1996 a move to Seattle, WA temporarily “broke up” the band and Sandi released a self titled solo project. This recording became like a cathartic diary with songs like “Cherish” and “Benediction” echoing the themes of motherhood and her personal journey. Many songs later Sandi and Steve migrated back to Sacramento and decided on reforming Threshing Floor into a unique worship band. In 2002 they released “At Your Feet” and it expresses the joy of a lifestyle of worship.
Yes, I play live and sing for our contemporary worship services at church most every Sunday.
