We are a collage of artists nationwide - the FiyaStartaz . Our members vary from state to state based on availability and our musical influences come from Latin America, Africa, USA, Caribbean, we are the melting pot music was made to represent. Some of our most talented members could easily shine in solo careers but since we feel music is the fuel of the masses we all proclaim each others messages and support each others projects. We are one unit united with one hope, one heart, one love touching 1000Lives Inna Positive Way.
The sophomore album entitled Dawns Early Light" is reggae music meets world music fused with favorite music influences, which are rap, rock, and soul. This CD was produced by my record label, which is now officially known as "MoFiya Records with production by my team called the Fiyastartaz. Those folks are a collaboration of artist that play instruments, write poetry, and engineer sounds. We also have a team of writers that can create melodies, and hooks, and assist artists with completing the vocals for the songs. We already have songs we have written for national recording artists that have reached the billboards top ten. We are expecting nothing less for ourselves with the release of this album....Band/artist history
As You Already Know, We Are the FiyaStartaz Crew. We Consist of A Variety of Players, From the Piano Right Down To the Flute. You Name It We Can Play the Instrument. All of the Band Members Are Very Well Educated College Students From Different States and Coasts.
The FiyaStartaz Crew Began As A Class Project. We Never Thought That Our First CD Would Sell So Well Because It Was Not Recorded @ Its Best. Some of the Tracks Were Recorded In the Living Rooms of Some of the Band Members Homes and the Danger Zone Studios.
We Took Our Marketing Skills and decided to sell the CD in stores, seeming how well it sold without being in stores. The FiyaStartaz Wanted To See How Far This Album Would Take Them Outside of the Classroom. We Thought It Would Be A Good Idea Since all of the local colleges were already playing our music off the album on a day to day basis.
B4' D'Light...How We Do Was A Great Experience To Record with SamsonsTouch. All of the Songs Are SamsonsTouch Originals and We Had A Lot of Fun Adding To What Was Already There. If We Had To Do It All Again We Would Replay Every Moment of It and record it so the world could enjoy it.
This time around we cleaned up our sound by building our own studio and forming our own label Samsonstouch Records & FiyaStartaz Productions still adding a few of the live performances that we are known for best, but being sure to create a wider selection of songs covering a world music crowd with radio and club hits as well as music for riding in your car or celebrating with friends.
