Sam couldn't get signed to any major label, so he has decided to do it himself. Sam has inked a deal with a local label (Fringe Records) and has decided to follow his dreams & be a star! With a little help from some chums, Sam has recorded a wonderful collection of tracks blending many genres to create the "Sam Shank Sound"..
Sam records all of his songs in his house on a crude 4-track recorder, with the help of his band, "The Sam Shanks Experiment." Sam Shanks has beaten the odds, and has seen his share of trials and tribulations, heartaches and pains!
Sam has proven to all that lack of talent and popularity mean nothing when it comes to the art of independant music. Sam has yet to find a fanbase (aside from a small cultlike group that follow Sam to all of his performances) but is determined to let his music shine for all the folks in Dallas, and hopefully, spread his message of love and unity throughout the world!!
