Band/artist history
Born in Manila Philippines, Jan 1963, immigrated to Montreal, Quebec Canada in Dec 1973. I first bought my first reggae lps around 1980...Third World, Steel Pulse, Matumbi, Aswad and Bob Marley and The Wailers. Right around that time I was interested in the mixing aspect of reggae...dubbing. I purchased a massive, analogue - old school mixing desk, TEAC 15, a 24 x 8 x 2 studio desk. I called the studio ZERO TOLERANCE. I recorded on 8 tracks using the Fostex R8 1/4 tape recorder. Earlier projects were released as demos among them was Imperial Force (Ibo of Kindred Band from Calgary). When I added the Fostex B16 recorder, I took on bigger projects recording demos for Jo Jo and Kish I Band, Ibo and Imperial Force, Siverado, Kali (Kali and Dub Inc), Jah Le Le, Marcus Jeffers (poet)... Albert Adu-Fosu recorded AFUTU PA and SUFFER which were relesed in Ghana, Jah Children Band recorded MESSAGE FOR the WORLD, which was later mixed at another studio ran by Kristian Kostov, a good friend from Bulgaria. Zero Tolerance became Bahay Ko, a studio name change to reflect my Filipino heritage. (bahay ko is Pilipino which means my house) Vernon Maytone (The Mighty Maytones lead singer) recorded and mixed his cd RAW at Bahay Ko. In fact, I co-produced and programmed all instruments on this project with the proper guidance and input from Lynn Tait and Maytone. I am now concentrating on recording dub music projects. I also dj ocassionally in some reggae clubs
