Classic scenario: Highschool kid likes girl but she pays no attention to him. Lyrics written in a shallow sense on purpose... forgot why. People seem to like this song anyways.
OWWWWWWWWWWWW! Brain freeze...sorry, eating ice cream. Anyways! You like punk rock? Really? You dork! Just kidding. If you like punk rock, then you'll like (possibly love) RUNNING WEST!!! And if you hate punk rock, there is still a good chance you will at least like Running West, cuz we have a habit of getting people who normally don't like punk rock to actually like our music.
We know punk isn't the most diverse style of music, but we try our best to make ourselves sound as diverse as possible while still feeling we sound somewhat punk rock. We don't give a poo about whether you LOOK punk or not. We're all smart enough to realize that how you look is not how you are. We dont believe in discriminating because of race, creed, gender, sexual preference, age, your appearance, social status, or any other reason besides being a jerk to someone for no good reason. I know that sounded like something on the constituion about how America is supposed to be, but I don't care. So if you see this and are close enough to us to come to a show sometime, please do! We live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Tx and I doubt we'll be leaving here anytime soon, unfortunately. Peace.Band/artist history
Well... the band history. We're been together since the summer of 2002, we're on our 7th drummer, and we have a crappy 6 song demo from last July because we rushed ourselves into recording. We're about to enter the studio again soon.Have you performed in front of an audience?We've played at several clubs in the DFW area. We play a lot of shows (Too many shows) at the Door in Ft. Worth. We like it and all... but we wanna play other venues as well. We've also played at the galaxy club, dream world, the door in dallas, and the light post outside of the door in ft. worth. We love playing for people and for people to hear us. One special moment was when we played this song called "The Score" and made up a dance for the crowd to do throughout the whole song. The dance consisted mainly of thrusting your pelvis back and forth. It was great to see almost the entire crowd doing a pelvic thrust all over the place while we played. We messed up a little cuz we all started laughing midway through the song. Twas greatness.

Our musical influences eh...? TOO MANY! Any good bands: MxPx, AFI, The Who, The Beatles, NOFX, Lagwagon, Rufio, Taking back sunday, Alkaline Trio, Old skool blink 182, Ozma, Green day, Weezer, No use for a name, and THE AMAZING TRANSPARENT MAN!What equipment do you use?
We use fender guitars, fender and peavey amps, and due to the revolving door of drummers... we're not quite sure what they use. We use distortion on guitars.. nothing fancy. PURE SKILL BABY!Anything else?
