Hi My name is Rudy. I am an instrumental songwriter.
I write easy listening music. My main instrument is guitar. I play harmonica and alto sax and a little piano. I record all my music in my home studio.
My goal is to write for tv and radio. I would like to
write theme music on a commercial level. My recordings are just me playing all the parts on the cd.Band/artist history
In 1965 ( at 15)I formed my own rock band and we mostly played top 40 and Beatle songs. I sang and played lead guitar. Married at 21 and only jammed now and then due to raising a family. Then in my late 40's I joined a local rock band but got tired of playing other peoples music, And gigs were not fun for me anymore. Through the years I did write songs and just kept them to myself.
Now I'm 55 and since I have my own recording software, I just compose my own stuff.
I would like to write theme music for commercials.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play live once in a while. I play at a couple of churches now and then.
Your musical influences
As a kid I liked the Beatles, Hendrix, The Cream and several other groups. I liked Santana and Clapton.
Now I like Peter White but my all time favorite musician in all my life is sax player Boney James.
To me, his musicianship is like no one else I've ever known. His choice of notes and style inspire
me.He's not brilliant, he's gifted. He didn't make himself what he is, he plays what he hears, and that's the beauty of the gift.What equipment do you use?
I use a Casio kayboard for bass, keys and drum synths. A Marshall amp for elecrtric guitar. A takamine elect/acoustic with a crate amp. And I use
