Take Yourself in Hand Take Yourself in Hand
Very rough demo atm, still writing lyrics and music, but wanted to be able to get tips to re-work it. Recorded on my smartphone using a multitracking app. If the sound quality was better I'd ditcth the PC - Audacity isn't that simple!
Finger picked cover Finger picked cover
This is my own finger picked version of a famous song, try and guess what before the vocals come in! 10 points before the second riff comes in, 5 points before vocals, 1 point after vocals... :)
I Wasn't Ready I Wasn't Ready
New recording, better vocals AND guitar, as I finally got around to recording them separately! Still got a crappy mic though, so apologies for that... It's based on real life, but exaggerated for artistic effect!
Daily Riff fake, updated Daily Riff fake, updated
This is the new arrangement (ish) for my Daily Riff, but it's all GP5 based, so you'll have to imagine the cool ass guitar ;)
I am a songwriter, who intends to gather a band, and maybe learn to sing. I do a kinda rocky style of music, the two songs that I consider complete have been likened to Audioslave/RATM in parts for one, and the other song has two main riffs one of which is like Jet, and the other is like Graham Coxon...Have you performed in front of an audience?Ocean Colour Scene, The Offspring, Audioslave/Rage Against the Machine, Blur, Graham Coxon, Feeder, Matt Costa, The Levellers, Jet, The Vines, Reef, Kula Shaker... The list goes on, but they're the main ones. Newer influences include Flipron and Kaizers Orchestra. Two Ibanez guitars (a JS100 and a 1980's Blazer custom), an Epiphone Junior valve amp. Pedals: a Marshall the Guv'nor overdrive, a Marshall Jackhammer OD/Dist, a WahWah (unimpressive brand) and a Dan Electro Talk-Back reverse delay pedal. also a battered old (nylon) accoustic and cheapo soprano ukulele. A recent addition to my kit is a 12 string acoustic. I like to pretend I have a degree of skill on the piano, but I'm just kidding myself really! I have recently taken up the violin, so maybe some more of my folky influences will start to appear?
