Jazz influenced, when fusion wasn't a dirty word in music.
Room Above the Garage Room Above the Garage
Acoustic rootsy soul with Jess and I singing
Mostly cool with a picture in the lyric and the guitar at the core, Rob Rogers music is acoustically driven and explores the territory between jazz, soul, lounge and latin.
The voice is Bri Cowlishaw, a bright new singing partner with a style all her own.Band/artist history
Imagine a list of forgettable garage and other bands.
Nearly joined the band that became Moving Pictures (hi Gaz), wrote soundtrack for film (Goodbye Sally Goldstein), wrote songs for Girlfriend, Rob Guest (Phantom), Suzanne Johnston (Australian Opera), jingles for wine, cattle, Hamilton Island.
Joined legendary ad band, Dave Slug and the Defenders, stopped playing for 10 years, then started performing with Jess Higgs in late 2003.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yep - around the northern beaches of Sydney and occasionally in New York. I love it, although most times I get the feeling that people would rather hear me do covers all night.
Best live night so far was when I worked at the Basement in Sydney, it was a blast to play such a famous venue. Love the sound of Bri's voice, it was nice to hook up with someone who can take a song to another place.
